There is no mystery to my art. I love what a line and tone can become and I draw what I like.

I have always enjoyed drawing, yet when I completed one I wanted to keep it! In my search for a fine art medium that suited me, I found printmaking (especially etching) to be the perfect answer.

Etching involves a wealth of possibilities and that makes it a challenging medium. While there is a basic process, many choices are made in tools, techniques, paper and inks when creating an image in metal that is to be transferred to paper. The reward is the moment I peel the finished print from the plate. It is just a bonus that I can keep one and share the rest.

There is a quiet beauty to an etching that is nearly lost in this loud and fast digital world. These galleries are a link to my version of an old art.
